I can assure you, they will be shocked and we, as a State, will make the news of every broadcast. Why? Because if you listen to the liberal pundits, Lindsey is the incumbent, he has 4 million dollars in his campaign, he is mostly conservative on the majority of issues, the memories of the people of South Carolina will be short.
If you listen to them, the discontent is by just a few disgruntled people and not the majority. If you listen to their predictions you might believe the election is already over, Lindsey is elected and has 6 more years to perform his amnesty type of magic.
They will be amazed when the power of the voice of the citizens goes to the ballot box and elects NOT to send Lindsey back to Washington but rather to send him back to Pickens. They will be amazed at the will and the determination of the voters when they exceed the influence of his stuffed coffers and they demonstrate with their ballot what they tried to get Lindsey to understand.
Not only will the voters of South Carolina refuse to be called ‘bigots’ and refuse to be silenced but they will refuse to be fooled into believing the election is all but finalized and Graham is all but reelected.
The people of South Carolina have asked for a choice and I am providing them with that choice. They have said they will send Lindsey a message and that message is being sent through our campaign. They have pledged to support a replacement and the time is now for us to move into high gear. Between now and Jan 2008 we have a great deal of work to do. We need volunteers of time, we need resources of donations, I need the continued support and will of the voters as we prepare to amaze the liberal press.
